Details of Experience:

Nancy Shumate arrived to Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing on October 3, 2016 from Sumner Regional Medical Center with a diagnosis of pneumonia. Upon recovering from a past ankle fracture, Ms. Shumate decided to return to Gallatin Center for strengthening and clinical support for her respiratory illness.

According to Ms. Shumate, “Gallatin Center was the most wonderful experience. I had the best service with the sweetest people!”

While at Gallatin Center, Ms. Shumate shared her love for reading. In efforts of creating a person-centered and individualized experience for all under our care, we were able to provide material that captured her interest and assisted her healing throughout her therapeutic journey. The recreational team was the perfect complement to conjoining the unprecedented levels of care provided by each and every department within our community.

Ms. Shumate discharged back to her home on October 28, 2016 with a positive outlook and ReNEWal in health. She continues to be an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her family. We are so pleased and proud to share that Ms. Shumate is doing very well while at home, per her daughter and son-in-law. We wish her nothing but the best as she continues to thrive post-healing at Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing.
